IB Chemistry Tuition in Singapore (HL & SL)

Complex to clear. Excel under pressure.

IB Chemistry can feel demanding, but with the right structure, it becomes manageable and even easy to master. Our programme simplifies complex theories and shows students how to apply them with confidence. We emphasise conceptual clarity, application-based thinking, and exam technique, so students gain a deep understanding of reactions, patterns, and equations while learning how to use their knowledge to succeed in the IB.

Class Structure

At Axiom Education, our classes are structured to ensure every student gains a deep understanding of the material while building the skills to tackle exam questions with confidence.

  1. Breaking Down Theory

We start each lesson by covering the key theories for the topic, breaking them into smaller, easily digestible sections. This approach helps students grasp even the most complex concepts effectively.

  2. Applying the Theory

Next, we demonstrate how to apply these theories to real-world problems, guiding students step-by-step through practical examples.

  3. Exam-Style Practice

In the final half-hour, students attempt progressively challenging exam-style questions. This reinforces their understanding, builds confidence, and prepares them to excel in any test situation.

Our structured yet engaging approach ensures that students leave every class not only equipped with knowledge but also the skills to use it effectively when it matters most.

Caring and highly knowledgeable tutors

Axiom education was one of the major factors in results I was able to attain at the IB exams for my Mathematics, Chemistry and Economics. Their teaching structure ensures that no student is left behind and every student is given the support they need. High praise is not sufficient for the caring and highly knowledgeable tutors, never failing to attend to their students beyond lesson time. I am glad to recommend AXIOM to any student from those who might be struggling with your subjects, to those who might already be doing well but just want to be kept accountable in your learning.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs) about HL/SL Chemistry tuition

Tuition supports a student’s concept understanding and provides practice to enrich the application of the theory learnt. Your school remains the key source of coursework deadlines, assessment instructions and submission requirements.

Share your subject, Year 5 or Year 6, and HL or SL level. For Mathematics, also specify AA or AI. Include your school’s current topics and examination session so Axiom can confirm suitable coverage and availability.

Yes. Axiom Education supports IB Diploma students sitting either the May or the November examination session.

Our IB group classes in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Economics are planned around the November session, which is the session taken by most mainstream IB schools in Singapore (such as ACS(I), ACS(Int), SJI, SJI(Int), HCIS, SOTA). Lessons follow the school calendar, so content is covered in time for school assessments, mock examinations and the final papers.

If you are sitting the May session, which is common in international schools (such as UWCSEA, Dulwich), we offer 1-to-1 lessons in the same four subjects. Your tutor builds the lesson plan around your school’s pace and your examination date, so you are never rushing to catch up or covering topics too early.

Not sure which option suits you? Book a trial lesson and we’ll help you work out the right plan for your session and subjects.

Axiom’s IB Chemistry description emphasises conceptual clarity, applying ideas and exam technique. Bring questions where you can recall the theory but struggle to apply it, together with your attempted equations or calculations. The appropriate depth depends on your year group and HL or SL level.

IB Chemistry tuition covers mole concepts, atomic structure, periodicity, bonding, energetics, kinetics and equilibrium, followed by further topics in the teaching plan. Coverage and depth depend on your year group and HL or SL level. Share your school’s topic sequence so Axiom can confirm the appropriate plan.

Choosing the Best Math Tuition in Singapore: What Parents Should Compare

3 days ago | 6 minutes read time

Parents often compare Math tuition on price, class size and published results. These help you narrow the list, but none of them tells you whether a centre can fix the reason your child is losing marks. Take two students who both scored a B3. One understands every lesson but freezes on an unfamiliar question. The…
